Structure

General

We run a full-time training course, running Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, consisting of more than 1,600 hours over three years.

The teacher-student ratio will not exceed 1:5. Each year is divided into three terms of 12–15 weeks each, with a midterm week off. You can join at the beginning of each term. Term dates.

The course fees are euros €1,740 per term (€5,220 per year), payable termly or by monthly standing order, i.e. €435 per month over 12 months, each year for three years.

 

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule for the course is: Monday morning 9:00 to 12:45, Tuesday afternoon 14:00-17:45, Thursday and Friday mornings 9:00 to 12:45, with private lessons before or after (as arranged with the teacher). The daily schedule is:

Daily Practical Work

The daily practical work consists of:

Turns
short, individual work.

Small groups
guided hands-on teaching procedures for chair, table, saddle and voice work as well as activities such as standing, walking, running, etc. The groups are supervised by a teacher.

Games
individual guidance through a particular movement or a series of movements exploring the primary control in motion. There is a game every day.

Daily Lectures
The lectures consists primarily of readings, with commentaries, from Alexander’s books and work by other authors on the Technique; and studies of relevant anatomy and physiology.

 

Private Lessons

Each student will also receive a private a half-hour lesson every week for the first six terms. The lesson normally takes place before or after the class.
